Session seven into session eight notes:
With a new direction now decided, you all began to head further east, along the sign posted road heading for the Cold Plains.
Along the way, you encountered a few enemies, in the form of Quill Rats, lurking around the shallow pond, and made short work of them.
Afterwards, Livia managed to skin one of the slightly less obliterated corpses, and gains a nearly pristine Quill Rat pelt.
Kash, however, living up to the reckless abandon he shows when it comes to the opening of chests, decides to hit another one situated just off the path, and to nobodies surprise, he paid the price for it with his Health, as a bolt of Ice hits him square on and causes his movements to become rigid as the effect sets in.
Luckily, a quick swig of a Thawing potion was enough to clear him of that affliction.
With the battle and the chest incident now behind you all, you left the Blood Moor and headed towards the Cold Plains, which the journey between places took you a good 3 hours, just following a boring winding road with lots of decaying countryside, but else nothing there was of interest to you.
There was however, a new obstacle for you all to overcome along the way… The Weather.
As you approached the Cold Plains, a light fog drifted over the land and settled quickly, soaking the party and and the ground around them.
This coupled with the rapidly twisting winds which tear through the region, are making things a little uncomfortable for the party to say the least.
Upon entering the Cold Plains all soaked, a fight quickly ensued, with new foes, only it was an enemy that looks all too familiar to some, yet with clear and distinct features.
Livia understandably felt reluctant at first to fight, but with the comforting words of compassion and encouragement received, she was able to face down her familiar foes with the rest of her party, and soon…. an awkward silence took hold, with nothing but the gentle sounds of the howling wind and the odd raindrop, fell about the area, as the party manage to defeat their final attacker, and slump into a guilt ridden stupor.
Once again though, the party have heard the name Andariel, screamed as some sort of twisted battle cry during combat from the mouths of the newly corrupted sisters of the order.
With heavy hearts, the party look around the area for loot, and then take a moment for yourselves to show some respect for the fallen sisters, and to recuperate a little, before pressing forward in your journey.
