Adventures in Sanctuary follows a group of brave warriors, as they strive to keep the world of Sanctuary safe from total destruction at the hands of Diablo.

This is a campaign which has a heavy amount of home-brew material, but in general it’s built around D&D 5th Edition, using the core rule set.

So settle in, grab a warm drink, put your feet up, and relax… As you embark on the adventures we all shared together… Enjoy!!

This website has been created by the players as a gift to the Dungeon Master, to celebrate the completion of his first campaign for Diablo 2… However, it doesn’t  end there – Stick with us and see for yourselves what comes next!

The Weaver Of Fates

Arrival:
In the beginning, there was only he, and from his artistic mind, he created a world where things came to be.
Animals, plants, and people, all thrived in harmony together, until the Dungeon Master grew tired of the status quo one day, and created the Angels and Demons, to help make things a little more… shall we say… Fun!

Quirks:
He has many quirks, and one may even view him to be a little sadistic at times, but know this, everything he does, has a reason behind it… but you may never find out that reason… you may even die trying!

Typical Battle Tactic:
Makes the adventuring party sweat! – makes their hearts beat faster in unison as they tackle some of the toughest challenges they have ever faced… If they don’t need a shower after an encounter, then he’s not doing his job correctly! –  He lets the dice decide their fate!

TAVI KALA

Arrival:
Tavi ventured to Tristram, in the hopes of finding lost ancient artifacts, hidden within the many, at rest – priests coffins, within the Tristram cathedral.
However, upon seeing the horrors that had unfolded inside the town, she chose to ally with the rest of the party, whilst delving deeper for treasure – Safety in numbers.

Quirks:
Nothing known as of yet.

Learning (During Rests):
Nothing known as of yet.

Typical Battle Tactic:
Tavi is a master of the bow – her rogue sisters training taught her precision and lethal accuracy from a distance… That said, she isn’t someone to shy away from moving in for close combat as a last resort, if the need arises.

LYRA NIGHTSTAR

Arrival:
Lyra was sent by her order of the Magi, to investigate the cathedral within the town of Tristram, and has been charged with returning any lost Horadric artifacts or knowledge tomes, that are reported to be down there still.

Quirks:
Her Draconic bloodline has Lyra linked to a mix of Celestial and Ice bound magic in some way – unknown to anyone else.

Learning (During Rests):
Lyra is focused on her knowledge with scrolls, and more so how to create her own – This could be an extremely useful craft to learn, if she is able to get her mind around it and figure out the intricacies which go with inscribing ink to parchment.

Typical Battle Tactic:
You can find Lyra warming the back line of any combat situation, forming a majestic display of Ice, Lightning and Celestial energy. These three types of magic are often found within the arsenal of Lyra’s spell book.
Her close combat skills are weak in comparison, but her ability to cause harm to enemies from afar, using her magical powers, is unmatched by many others.

EBRIN VIERS

Arrival:
Ebrin arrived in Tristram after returning home from the Westmarch war, by foot or by cart where possible, having split up from Prince Aiden on the way back, he returns alone, and hopes to find his friend.

Quirks:
Easily distracted by small rodents and other creatures found within Sanctuary.

Learning (During Rests):
Nothing known as of yet.

Typical Battle Tactic:
You can find Ebrin near to any front line of combat, not afraid to get his hands dirty, or bloody.
However, only a few people know that he has limited magical powers, and he often starts a fight by casting fire at his foes, followed by a swift stab to their gut, from his trusty blade.

JACK

Arrival:
Jack turned up in Tristram after Arthas had fallen extremely ill. He had contracted a zombie viral curse, and was beginning to fade fast.
However, meeting Lyra and agreeing to join forces with her and Levi – Jack’s kind nature had him caring for Arthas, a total stranger in need of help.

Quirks:
Jack is awful at time keeping, and you can safely bet on him turning up late, to any pre-set arrangement.

Learning (During Rests):
Nothing known as of yet.

Typical Battle Tactic:
Jack lives for the thrill of combat – his early adult life has been centered around this, and he thrives on the front lines of major battles.
Opting for a balanced stance with lighter armour than most heavily armored fighters, you can find Jack nimbly cutting away with his sword, at enemies that cross his path.

LEVI LADRON

Arrival:
Levi turned up in Tristram with Jack, around the same time as the incident with Arthas and his illness.
Though his actions are often those of helping others, his intentions for being there – are not that clear as of yet.

Quirks:
Due to recent events, Levi is shaken from his experience to the outer realms, and doesn’t trust himself casting spells as he once did.

Learning (During Rests):
Levi is working on his trickery, and sleight of hand skills.

Typical Battle Tactic:
A hailstorm of deadly arrows is often the preferred combat tactic of Levi, that said, he isn’t afraid to whip out the old trusty short sword or dagger, and stab an enemy that closes the distance on him.

FULGRIM

Arrival:
Fulgrim arrived in Tristram after after being sent from his clan to investigate just what was going in this once quiet and peaceful town.

Quirks:
Whilst his intentions may be noble and just, his appearance is somewhat off-putting and dare we say, fear inducing towards others.

Learning (During Rests):
Nothing known as of yet.

Typical Battle Tactic:
You can find Fulgrim towards the rear of any combat, keeping well away from coming into close contact with his foes.
He opts to douse them in flames and  chill them with frost, from a good distance… whilst keeping eerily silent.

ARTHAS

Arrival:
Whilst wandering the second floor of the cathedral, Arthas came across the party already down there, and tentatively joined them.

Quirks:
Many years in the service of the royal army of Khanduras, have weathered our old Knight through many a battle, although he is honorable – he isn’t foolish, and will remove himself from a fight he obviously cannot win.

Learning (During Rests):
Nothing known as of yet.

Typical Battle Tactic:
Arthas bravely takes point in any fight, you will find him in the thick of battle, out on the front line, a bastion of steel stood between enemies in front, and his comrades behind.
During battle Arthas generally adopts a defensive stance behind his shield, when facing down his foes, but he isn’t afraid to get his trusty sword bloodied when needs must.
