Session thirteen into session fourteen recap:
A new day begins to dawn over the kingdom of Khanduras, the party are already up and walking about, taking care of various tasks. Scarlett once more approaches a very tired and awaking Kashya, and asks her for aid in fighting Blood Raven… However, Kashya is unwilling to look past her recent conversation with Scarlett, plus the intrusive incident with Kash the previous day.
To say she is very reluctant to give any help to the party at first, is an understatement, at least in the form of any mercenaries.
However, she does feel some small amount of compassion for them, as they have lost a comrade in battle recently, and so offers them a minor healing potion to aid them in their fight.
The party then leave via the way-point, back to the Cold Plains, in an effort to save as much time as possible.
Quickly, they traversed the area, and soon stand there looking up at the looming white stone gateway, which was located at the southern edge of the monastery burial grounds.
Almost instantly as they step through the gate, the eerie fog there begins whipping around them, and it brought back horrific memories of what had happened within the heart of this corrupted place.
Scarlett and Kash try their best to fend off these mind suffocating memories, but fail to do so, and as a result are stuck with grief which is now weighing on their minds.
However Ira, was able to put what had happened aside, she was done with it all, her resolve was steadfast, and unaffected by these memories, and so sought her vengeance here and now, unhindered.
With keen eyes, Scarlett manages to spot a group of skeletal warriors, currently standing idle, far off from the beaten path, waiting over to one side of the burial ground.
After a small amount of quiet discussion, the party decide to engage this group, and one by one – Kash is able to fell them with aid from his party members, and the various destructive magics he now held within his spear.
After the difficult fight, the party feel it is best that they take a few minutes to recover, before heading into the central area of the burial grounds, to face Blood Raven once more, who stands there with baited breath awaiting the parties return.
A few taunts are given, an exchange of words are had… and the inevitable battle is soon under way.
We pick up this session at the beginning of combat, and so far things have gone somewhat interestingly… So lets see what unfolds from here on.
