Session 23 into session 24 recap:
In our last session, we rejoined our brave adventurers as they were just about to finish their extended rests, after performing their tasks around the Rogue Encampment… However, for Francis, his night was about to become a lot worse for him than he had ever imagined.
Whilst the others slept soundly in their bunks, Francis had a visitor from beyond the grave, visit him in the only place they can… which is deep inside of his mind.
During his encounter, he was able to work out that the spirit was none other than his vengeful sister, claiming that he had done something to her in life, that resulted in her death, but as in most attacks of the mind, the attacker was very vague, and often left the victim a little confused… but deep down, it has made Francis remember something he had hoped he never would do, and has unlocked a much deeper fear within his now blackened heart.
Upon awaking from this terrible nightmare, Francis is watched by Scarlett and Xerxes, as he begins to sit up, cough up, and spit out onto the floor, a thick black unidentified liquid… much to their surprise.
Between them, they see Francis is shaken up by something, and make sure that he’s okay, before mustering the rest of the party.
The party all make their final preparations, and then head out once more, into the unknown, where they for the first time (excluding Kester of course) take their first steps into the area on the surface named, the Dark Woods.
As they passed west along an east-west road, all the while Scarlett excited to use her new bow weapon, the road took a sudden turn south, and sure enough, awaiting them were a small group of Carver demons, too busy to see the party approach…. they were easily killed off, as were the next group of Skeletal Archers, that the party ran into, but had very little trouble dealing with, and finally, as the road bent back around once more to the east, there was a small group of Vile Hunters travelling the road, but, they too were easily slain.
This… is where we pick up our story.
