Last Session 34>> into this session 35 ((recap))

When last we met, we rejoined the party back inside the encampment, having just spent the entire morning resting inside of the barracks there… and just as the early afternoon arrives, they begin to awaken.

Scarlett is the first to rise from her slumber, to a very quiet encampment, she moves to the fire in the middle of the camp, like any other day after waking, to gather her thoughts and plan for the day ahead, but as she does so, horrifying images begin to claw their way back into her mind, bringing with them a strong sense of dread which was obviously linked with the raw, destructive element of fire.
Hurriedly, she backs away from the flames… her trauma only now being fully recognized as it takes root deep in the recess of her mind.

One by one, the rest of the party emerge from the barracks doorway, uneasy about what had happened before their extended stay in camp, but ready to tackle the days challenges head on… all but Crodas and Baxter.

Ophi, takes a moment for herself after leaving her sleeping quarters, and moves to a few large smooth rocks between the barracks and the blacksmith hovel, where she places a few ingredients down on the cold stone surface, and summons her best friend and loved one… Nyx.
They instantly share a moment together, reunited, expressing their emotions away from all prying eyes of anyone else.
When the ritual and the catch up was over, she proceeds to join the others.

In the mean time, Aleric has been moving around the encampment, getting to know its layout, before finding a barrel of fresh water and taking a long drink from it, in an attempt to rinse out the bitter taste that still resides within his mouth.
Afterwards, he too joins the others.

Francis heads towards the river bank on the eastern edge of the encampment, and takes a long relaxing soak in the cold flowing water he finds there.
He takes a moment to clean his clothes from the blood and ash that had been collecting upon it over the past week or so, and once he is done with that, he too joins the others in the middle of camp.

A few moments pass by, and the group have some small idle chit chat, the thoughts and images of the previous day weighing heavily upon their minds still, that said, there was work to be done still, and so, Scarlett kicks into action and finds Kashya, who when approached, had a clear look of concern worn across her face.
Scarlett broaches the topic about Blaise, asking where she could be, had anyone seen her, etc…. but no answers were coming, to a point where after grilling numerous people, Scarlett literally out of pure frustration, punches Aleric in the face and storms off.

During the commotion, a new comer joins the conversation, she looked almost identical in every way possible to Blaise, except for one glaring difference, her eyes seemed to glow with a gentle Blue hue.
Her name, was Aurora, and she seemed rather upset that Blaise had not returned, and so when the party decided to leave to find Blaise, she too said she would tag along with them.

Jumping ahead then slightly, to a point in time where the party were heading back down into the dark, cold, underbelly of the tower, the fear grips some of them more than others, but still the party find courage to press forwards.
It had been a good 16 hours or so since they last set foot in this cursed place, and it wouldn’t take them long to reach the burning circle where tragedy befell them.

Using the bridge of the fire imp bodies they so cleverly had created though, they managed to get across the room far enough, to slay the Dark Stalkers that awaited them in the shadows of these dust ridden stone halls.
Looking about the immediate area, there was no sign of Blaise, anywhere.

After the decisive battle, the party regrouped and took a short rest, inside of a fairly large alcove just off to one side of the darkened hallway, which if traveled down, would lead them further into the depths of the tower….. and its here where we rejoin our brave few, as they decide what they wish to do next.
