~ SESSION 21 > SESSION 22 – (BRIEF RECAP) ~

Welcome back my friends!

========================================================

We picked up last session with the party taking a bit of a breather after some tough encounters within the outer passageways of the chamber of bone.
During the time they spent resting, the party took a moment to take stock of their equipment, how many potions they had left in particular, as they were starting to use quite a few now.

Norrec, letting his curiosity get the better of him, suddenly hurried off down an unexplored passageway, filled with large pockets of flames dotted along it’s path.
Lured by the giant glowing red blade thrust into the ground up ahead, he didn’t think much to his safety, and also missed the lurking danger there also.
Taking advantage of that fact, a Horned Demon charged at Norrec, and sent him spiralling through the air, where he landed inside one of the many flame pockets, and got burned heavily, instantly.

Levi dashed after his comrade, and managed to catch up to Norrec, and helped him to battle the hulking Demon that now stood close-by to both of them.
Luring the unholy beast down the passage, back to the others, the party managed to take the Demon down, using a number of different methods, until Norrec could land the final strike with his Demon-slayer blade.

Levi left the others and scouted back down the fire filled passageway, he too took an inteest in the blade in the ground, and tried to dislodge it with his foot, but as he done so he got several volts of red electrical energy shoot through his flesh, causing a good amout of damage to him, he decided the blade would be best left alone, and noticed that there was a lever to pull at the far end of the passageway.
He navigated past the temporarily extiguished flames, and pulled it, and with his work done, he headed back to rejoin the others.

The party searched the bodies of any fallen foes, and the surrounding area filled with sharp rock formations and tall pillars of stone, then they headed north, to another unexplored section of the dungeon.
Another wider passagway was found, with two large alcove sections situated on one side of the path.
Just past that, further up was another flame filled passage, with yet another lever to pull, another glowing sword, and another surprise Demon awaiting the party to reach him.

Curious to see what was inside the alcoves, Levi headed into one and saw a large wooden chest inside, towards the far side of the small room-like area.
His usual Rogueish traits got the better of him, and he greedily reached into the chest.
As he touched the first piece of treasure held within, he felt excruciating pain in his back, as if something or someone had just cut into him using a blade of sorts.
He immediately fell away from the chest, holding his sides and back, as he turned to see what struck him, two Hidden demons, claws covered in Levi’s blood and flesh, struck him again from the front and side.
The poisonous claws tore through Levi in a flash, and it was too much for him to take… Levi fell to the floor and passed from conciousness.

The Hidden suddenly faded from view in an instant, nobody had any clue where they were now, and they had claimed their first victim in a vicious assault.

Fulgrim acted fast, he conjured a mage hand assistant, and he commanded it to take a potion of Rejeventation to Levi, and force him it… Had he not done this, Levi would have assuredly perished from his wounds.
After recovering Levi from his brush with Death, the party worked together to corner and slaughter these sneaky little impish devils.
Once the coast was clear, the chests contents were collected and the party moved on down the fire filled passage.

A second Demon waiting in the room at the end was spotted early, he was much slower, and this allowed the party to get a good amount of damage on him, before the Demon could react and get up to them all, he was blasted with Lightning strikes, and freezing bolts of Ice.
When he did manage to get close enough to do anything, he was weakened and taken down within a few strikes of a blade from a very angry Norrec.

The second lever nearby was pulled, carefully, and Norrec navigated his way back to the others… As they passed back to the main path, they inspected the second alcove they found earlier, and sure enough, they found a second chest there now.
Wiser though this time to what happend to Levi, Norrec – stepped up, and touched the treasure within the chest.

Just as before with Levi, two attacks from nowhere came towards him in the blink of an eye.
Their stealth tactics were undeniably great, but, the party managed to figure out a way to maneuver around them, and force the enemy into positions where they could be revealed and killed off.
The hunted soon became the hunters, and they quickly finished off the last of these sneaky yellow foes, that were in the area.

After the battle — Not wanting to risk doing anything else, the party gathered what loot they could do, and quickly used a town portal to retreat back to the safety of Tristram, in fact, Lyra was so eager to escape that she went before the final blow had even been dealt.

Without hessitation, the party all headed to the tavern, for a good rest.

The Present Scene:

The party have awoken in the tavern after spending the night there to recover.
During their stay in town, the party spent time working on improving their equipment, skills, and overall fitness levels.
They also have timed their resting well with the weeks end, and items inside the stores have now all been restocked… This couldn’t have come at a better time for them, as most of the potions were completely sold out.

In the morning following a peaceful nights rest, the party all hear a familiar jingle of chain armour, as it moves around outside the tavern perimiter.

Exiting the tavern after their morning meal, they run into Arthas, who was currently speaking to Griswold about the magic skyrock he desperatley searched for, which was to be payment for the armour he had traded with Arthas.
Griswold then informed Arthas that he had received the magical skyrock already, but he didn’t say who by, and being a decent man, he struck a new deal with him – That if he wanted to keep the armour… he could, but he would have to agree to pay the rest of what he owed him in gold… Though he never specified when, or how long Arthas had to pay off his debt.

A tough situation to be in for sure… and with little choice left to him, Arthas accepted the deal.

Join me my friends, as we see what unfolds next, in this session of…. Adventure in Sanctuary!
